On the creation of a standard EU-level air pollution badge and classification of vehicles for traffic restrictions 

The petitioner claims that Directive 2008/50/EC on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe has resulted in national rules and regulations, which are often implemented by complex local, special regulations and exemptions, and are increasingly disrupting road transport within the EU.Therefore, he calls for the creation of a standard EU-level air pollution badge and classification of vehicles for traffic restrictions, which in his view would prevent confusion and heavy fines for motorists and would enhance the single market by making road transport easier.
