On the transport of live animals under conditions not respecting the animal welfare standards provided in EU-legislation

The petitioner refers to a report, broadcasted on television, documenting the harsh conditions during the transport of young calves from Lithuania to Israel (images available on you tube: https://www.delfi.lt/letena/gyvunu-teises/siaubingi-vildai-siauliu-veterinarai-pasmerkegyvunus-letai-mirciai.d?id=82013099)..) The petitioner calls for persecution of all persons, involved in these transports, infringing EU-law on animal welfare during transport, including state food and veterinary services. The petitioner also refers to practices where live fish is available in supermarkets, kept under allegedly cruel conditions (images available on you tube: https://www.15min.lt/new/activities/english/givunu-girl-claim-commerce-centrum-continue-market-good-fishing-56-1111602)..) The petitioner further promotes intensified research on the development of ‘alternative food articles’, grown organically on the land and avoiding the killing of animals.
