On the need for the EU to ban imports of meat and soybeans from Brazil

The petitioner points out that the European Union and Finland, are considering banning the sale of meat products from Brazil owing to the uncontrolled fires in the Amazon rainforest as agricultural companies set small parts of the rainforest on fire to clear land for cattle breeding and soy cultivation.. The petitioner calls for massive support for this decision. The petitioner expresses his concern at the worrying situation in the Amazon rainforest, which is due to human action. The petitioner complains that the Brazilian government has dismantled also several reforestation projects and environmental programmes. As such, this shows its unwillingness to take any action against deforestation.
