On the creation of a new immigration committee in the EU

The petitioner calls for the setting up of an immigration committee whose aim would be to reduce immigration into Member States when required. Each Member State would have an elected seat on such a committee and, in case of excessive immigration, would have the power to influence other committee members and the European Parliament into taking action to reduce such excessive immigration. In the petitioner’s view, such a measure would address many nations’ concerns but also allow the UK to hold a different referendum on leaving the EU, as the remain option would change by addressing the foremost concern of UK citizens, immigration.
