Petition richtet sich an: Petitionsausschuss des Europäischen Parlaments

The petitioner asks the EU institutions to make Germany reduce maximum and warning levels for electromagnetic radiation in living areas, sleeping areas and the workplace. The petitioner believes that financing should be made available to develop transmitters which have variable power and which automatically enter standby mode. According to the petitioner, citizens are unable to protect themselves from exposure to electromagnetic fields, and should be protected by warning levels of less than 1 µW/m². The petitioner indicates several consequences of massive exposure to radiation from mobile phones, e.g. people becoming sick or needing care, which have economic and social effects. She considers the current lack of protection for citizens to be a violation of their fundamental rights.
