On the protection of the respect for human rights during the COVID19 pandemic

The petitioner denounces the incapacity of the Spanish Government to react to the current health crisis caused by COVID-19. The petitioner highlights how the government has been unable to manage the essential means of protection for Spanish health workers. Moreover, she blames the government for threatening to report those citizens that criticise the government on social media. The petitioner highlights the breach of Article 19 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (ECHR), which includes Article 20 of the Constitution, states that freedom of expression remains a right of all Spaniards. The petitioner therefore calls on the European Court of Human Rights and the European Parliament to take action in order to assure a free and democratic Spain.
