Concerning a potential violation of European law in the event of dismissal for ‘abandonment of post’ in the French civil service

The petitioner calls for the rules governing dismissal for ‘abandonment of post’ in the French civil service to be revised since, in his view, they infringe several articles of EU law, including the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, Directive 2003/88/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 November 2003 concerning certain aspects of the organisation of working time, the European Pillar of Social Rights, the European Social Charter and the International Labour Organisation Convention of 22 June 1982 concerning the termination of employment at the initiative of the employer.
