The petitioner describes the poor state of roads in rural areas in his region and outlines the problems this is causing with regard to safety and the development of small towns. The petitioner maintains that the EU-funded ‘Integrated Support’ set aside for the period 2014-2020 is not reaching the municipality concerned, and reports that appeals lodged on the matter with the local, regional and national authorities have not yielded any results. The petitioner calls for the allocation of financial aid for road building in his region, citing as an example the funds allocated from the EU Solidarity Fund in the wake of a natural disaster in 2017.
