On the failure to implement Regulation (EU) 2015/2421 amending Regulation (EC) No 861/2007 establishing a European Small Claims Procedure and Regulation (EC) No 1896/2006 creating a European order for payment procedure

The petitioner asks that all necessary measures be taken by the European Parliament to ensure the Spanish authorities bring national legislation in line with Regulation (EU) 2015/2421 amending Regulation (EC) No 861/2007 establishing a European Small Claims Procedure and Regulation (EC) No 1896/2006 creating a European order for payment procedure. He asks in particular that a lawyer or legal representative is no longer mandatory in cases involving claims of less than EUR 5 000, without however obviating the involvement of these legal professionals where, irrespective of the amount involved, the issue under discussion necessitates this.
