The petitioner complains that he is unable to register his recreational craft in Romania, because his boat does not have a conformity certificate. He states that his yacht was built in France in 1979, at a time when Directive 94/25/EC was not yet in force and there was no legal requirement for such a certificate. He calls for Directive 94/25/EC to be amended because it prevents owners of older recreational crafts to register them with the relevant authorities.
