The petitioner states that the two members of staff of the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate whom he represents have been removed from active service and forcibly retired by the Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, thus depriving them, in his opinion, of their right to work and to extend their active service, disregarding EU legislation and the case-law of the CJEU. The petitioner has brought action before the Spanish administrative courts, but, without prejudice to this, is addressing this petition to the Committee on Petitions as he considers that the competent authorities have acted contrary to EU law, discriminating against those he represents on the grounds of age, violating and restricting their right to work without justification.
