On proportionality of safety measures by Germany and France due to COVID-19

The petitioner lives in Germany while his spouse lives in France. Due to safety measures introduced by Germany and by France, face-to-face contact has not been possible for a while. The petitioner is of the opinion that it is a bigger interference with fundamental rights in personal cases like his than when it comes to vacation trips or visits by acquaintances. He asks the EU institutions to help facilitating face-to-face contact of spouses in cross-border relationships. National safety measures should be adapted and to specific living situations of these people and coordinated between Member States.
