On the exclusion of the Land Court of Auditors of Saxony from the definition of a public authority within the meaning of the Environmental Information Directive 2003/4/EC

According to the petitioner, the Land of Saxony has amended its Environmental Information Act in order to exclude its Court of Auditors from the definition of a public authority within the meaning of the Environmental Information Directive 2003/4/EC. The change in the law has served to deny the public access to environmental information held by the Saxon Court of Auditors. The European Parliament is asked to take all necessary measures to remedy this breach of EU law.
