Under the directive on freedom of movement, all family members enjoy the right of entry and residence in every EU Member State outside their home country. The directive is implemented in Germany under the Residence Law. The petitioner calls for the provisions thereof to be extended to German nationals also, ensuring that they are treated no less favourably than other EU citizens in connection with family reunification.
