Bearing 162 signatures, on improving the conditions of the Planas del Rey housing development in the municipality of Pratdip, Catalonia (Spain)

The petitioner condemns the neglect of the Planas del Rey private housing estate by the Pratdip municipal authorities. The petitioner states that, since a 2016 judgment of the High Court of Justice of Catalonia declared that the Urban Conservation Unit, which was responsible for the maintenance of the above-mentioned housing development, was illegal and called for its immediate dissolution, the Pratdip municipal government had neglected to maintain the Planas del Rey housing estate. According to the petitioner, the decline is extremely worrying from the point of view of health, hygiene and public safety, and given that the housing estate is apparently in a risk area owing to its proximity to the Vandellós nuclear power station. The petitioner asks the European Parliament to take the necessary steps to remedy this situation in order to reintegrate the housing estate into the municipality of Pratdip.
