On the recognition of the professional qualification of labour inspector in Italy

The petitioner denounces the considerable differences in pay, for equal work, between the labour inspectors of the National Labour Inspectorate, a new agency under the control of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, and the labour inspectors of the social security agencies INPS (pensions) and INAIL (work accidents).He recalls the EP resolution of 14 January 2014 on Effective labour inspections as a strategy to improve working conditions in Europe, and demands that all labour inspectors should have equal pay.
