The petitioner states that, in her home town of Miesbach, common beech and linden trees are being felled because of suspected ALB infestation. She says that this is also being done in areas of historical and cultural importance. In her opinion, scientific reports for the drawing up of the host plant list, by the Julius Kühn Institute, on the basis of which the felling had been ordered, are outdated or incorrect, as there is no evidence anywhere that the tree species referred to have been infested. The petitioner states that, in addition, the derogation to the effect that plants of particular societal, cultural or ecological value may be exempted is not being observed. The petitioner is therefore asking for the host plant list to be reviewed. She cites specialist literature and at the same time reveals the mistakes it contains.
