Framställaren motsätter sig direktiv 92/83/EEG om harmonisering av strukturerna för punktskatter på alkohol och alkoholdrycker, som han anser är alltför omfattande. Framställaren hävdar att, till exempel, ägare av destillationsapparater med en kapacitet på mer än 2 liter redan betalar skatt vid köp av den alkohol som används vid macerationsprocessen.
