On the restitution of state lands and forests in Bulgaria to the persons who claimed their property after 2007  

The petitioner deplores the impossibility of restoring the ownership of lands and forests to the persons who did not apply by 30.11.2007. According to the legislation in force in the Republic of Bulgaria, all persons who discovered evidence and documents relating to their rights to property after that date are no longer able to recover their hereditary lands and forests, which were confiscated during the totalitarian regime. He asks the European Parliament to adopt acts to instruct the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria to reinstate the possibility to claim such inherited lands and forests.
