On protecting people in the refugee camps during the Covid-19 pandemic

The petitioner calls on the Commission to take the following actions: 1) Protect the most vulnerable in the refugee camps on the Greek islands; 2) Proceed with the rapid relocation of unaccompanied minors; 3) Adequately fund an emergency plan to contain the outbreak of COVID-19 within the framework of the New European Pact for Migration and Asylum. Beyond the scope of the current pandemic, the petitioner also calls for the resumption of search and rescue operations, open ports and improved reception conditions and relocation for refugees, and for these responsibilities to be shared jointly by all Member States.InformationThis summary was adopted under the urgency procedure 27 May 2020, therefore the recommendations listed below cannot be changed.
