The petitioner calls for immediate funding to restore all Christian churches in the occupied territories in the northern part of the Republic of Cyprus, which were looted and/or destroyed after the Turkish invasion in 1974.He considers these churches, and the works of historical value that were stolen, an important part of world and European heritage and culture.
