The petitioner considers that the decision of the British Prime Minister to stop sending, as from 1 September 2019, UK officials to meetings at EU-level harms the rights of British citizens. According to the petitioner, the UK has yielded its voting rights to the Presidency of the Council of the EU. The petitioner points out the decisions taken at EU-level still affect British citizens, as long as the exit of the UK is not a fact. The petitioner feels discriminated as a citizen and fears the damage of this, even temporary, non-attendance might be unrepairable. The petitioner asks the European Parliament to ensure that the UK resumes its obligations as a Member State of the EU.
