On an alleged non-compliance of EU law in Malta concerning the sound level of motor vehicles

The sound level for motor vehicles permitted in Malta allegedly indicates an incomplete implementation of in particular Regulations (EU) N 168/2013 and N 540/2014 and results in health and wellbeing complaints, as well as it raises questions on the quality and safety of the vehicles allowed. The petitioner denounces an alleged discrepancy between the statistics for exposure to traffic noise in Malta and the reality and highlights noise pollution as a major environmental cause for health problems.
