Andrageren advarer om stigningen i diabetes og andre sygdomme, der er forbundet med et højt sukkerforbrug. Andrageren foreslår, at mærkningen af fødevarer obligatorisk bør angive varens sukkerindhold i procent af det samlede indhold. Formålet med denne foranstaltning er at øge bevidstheden blandt befolkningen om de sundhedsrisici, der er forbundet med et højt sukkerforbrug.
