Předkladatel uvádí, že glyfosát byl na základě pokusů na zvířatech klasifikován jako karcinogen. V důsledku toho existuje podezření, že by glyfosát mohl vést k onemocnění i u lidí. Vzhledem k možnému nebezpečí je za účelem ochrany veřejnosti nutno glyfosát jako preventivní opatření zakázat.
