The mandate of celibacy for the priests of this world should be abolished! Priests should be able to decide whether they want to fulfill their duties as celibates or in the state of marriage. Married priests should also be able to return to their duties if they wish to do so.

Our beloved priest of Brigels, GR (Switzerland) was honest enough to openly disclose his relationship with a woman. Few of the people in the parishioners would have had a problem with him living this relationship openly. God himself, after all, created humans with their emotional needs and sexuality and declared that it was good (see Gen. 1:31).
Therefore, there is a question of conscience for all of us: Can we, as baptised Christians, allow that qualified, eager priests get suspended, having to abandon their parishes and endangering their own livelihood for the sole reason of failing under the heavy burden of celibacy? Won't God ask us one day: Why would you allow that?

Liebe Unterzeichner und Unterzeichnerinnen
meiner Petition für die Liberalisierung des Zölibates
Das Dokument mit dem Brief an Papst Franziskus, mit allen Unterschriften und 1399 Kommentaren ist nun bereit. Es umfasst 381 Seiten. Gegenwärtig bin ich daran die Übergabe im Detail zu regeln.
Auch die schweizerische Bischofskonferenz sowie weitere Bischöfe im Ausland werden angeschrieben und bekommen ein Exemplar dieses Dokumentes. Das alles will gut bedacht sein. Gut Ding will auch hier etwas Weile haben, ich bitte um Verständnis.
Wenn die Übergabe an Papst Franziskus erfolgt ist, werde ich wieder eine e-mail schreiben.
