The petitioner advocates a comprehensive labelling requirement for fur, with a clear indication of the animal, the holding and the origin. This should also apply to clothing where only small quantities of fur are used. The current obligation to declare would no longer apply. Compliance with the labelling requirement should also be checked on a regular basis.
