On the accommodation of refugees in Greece and the Balkans 

The petitioner calls for immediate assistance to refugees in Greece and the Balkans and/or for borders to be re-opened, due to the bad weather conditions. Several aid agencies have drawn attention to the poor conditions, especially in these countries; some people have frozen to death there. This is the result of a failed refugee policy that violates all human rights and infringes the UN Charter. The EU, among other parties, therefore has a duty to ensure that these people receive effective assistance when they flee.
