On alleged discrimination of teachers in Portugal

The petitioner complains that recent changes to the Portuguese legislation create discrimination between teachers, in particular in what concerns their career advancement and pay. She argues, among other things, that this has allowed teachers with similar or less years of experience to be promoted to higher levels than teachers with more seniority, based only on the time of access to the profession.
