Petition is addressed to: Petitionsausschuss des Europäischen Parlaments

The petitioner, the president of a company in Gdańsk, has received a new table of fees and commissions from a Warsaw-based bank. According to the table, the use of an auxiliary account in euros costs PLN 20 per month, whereas the fee for an auxiliary account in any other currency is PLN 10 per month. The petitioner takes the view that this policy is at odds with EU law, as it discriminates against those who settle their accounts in euros – the currency which all Member States have pledged to adopt as an element of European integration.
