The petitioner alleges that Bayerischer Rundfunk, a state and fee-financed media broadcaster in Germany, has an internal policy that does not allow to buy films from people older than 65. He is of the opinion that such policy is not compatible with EU rules as regards age discrimination. He stresses in addition that in Germany the retirement age is gradually being raised to 67 years.
