Il firmatario chiede all'UE di fare molto di più per proteggere i rifugiati e i richiedenti asilo nelle isole dell'Egeo. In particolare, insiste affinché i paesi dell'UE adottino ciascuno una parte equa di minori rifugiati e attuino d'urgenza le misure sanitarie necessarie per proteggere la sicurezza, la salute e i diritti di tutte le persone che vivono nei campi, nonché dei residenti locali, e prevengano la diffusione di malattie, tra cui la Covid-19.
