The EPL secretariat released 60 best 11 candidates for the 2023-24 season selected by fans on its official website on the 21st (local time).

Son has proudly listed himself in the striker category. Son is the only Tottenham player nominated in the striker, winger and striker midfielder category. Son is also the only Asian player among the total 60 candidates.

In this season, Son played in 35 EPL matches, recording 17 goals and 10 assists. He ranks eighth in scoring and third in assists. He is also ranking fifth in overall attack points, ranking among the top in the league.

Notably, Son recorded his third career score of 10-10 this season by scoring double digits and making assists. In the past EPL history, only five players including Wayne Rooney, Mohamed Salah (five times), Eric Cantona, Frank Lampard (four times), and Didier Drogba (three times).

Son Heung-min will compete with top scorer Erling Holland (Manchester City), who scored 27 goals in the EPL this season, as well as Kai Havertz (Arnall), Darwin Núñez (Liverpool), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), and Dominique Solanke (Bonmouth).

Hwang Hee-chan, who scored 12 goals this season and performed his best since moving to Wolverhampton, failed to make his name in all the striker, winger and attacking midfielder categories.
