The petitioner challenges the decision of the local authorities to extend the existing mole of the Porto de Leixões for another 300m. He argues that this runs counter to sustainable development, that it will have a significant negative impact on water quality and the practice of water sports and implicitly on the local economy. In addition, the petitioner argues that the environmental impact assessment lacks important data on water quality.
