Paying unreasonable price for fuel to finance not viable solutions and expensive EVs and "green" energy like wind turbine. Instead invest in the Nuclear energy for industry and hydrogen and natural gas as fuel for the cars and trucks

"Putting a price on carbon" is actually putting (yet another) tax on carbon, which will be ultimately paid by the consumer, while Europe already support the highest taxes in the world. Stop this insanity. The solution for less carbon in transportation is having an industry for electric trucks batteries, fuell cells, whatever (and nuclear electricity production), what we need is innovation (that technocrats don't produce), not taxes.

It looks like this petition was started in Germany. If that’s the case, why has pressure from Greenpeace (and others) caused the closure of all of your non polluting nuclear reactors. Also, the majority of the world‘s solar panels come from China where slave like labor is employed to produce polysilicon and many other elements used in solar panels. The solar panel supply chain in China is well known for human rights abuses. Does anybody care about this?

The green new deal is nothing but regulation to bring in global taxation by unelected gangsters. hello, I have no books to mention, only my personal consideration: what is the alternative you propose? What does it mean "putting a price on road transportation and buildings"? I hope you re not proposing electrical, it is very well known the that is another scam and does zero for the environment if not making it worse. What about blaming the military complex, worldwide? Why nobody is r talking about this huge elephant i.t.l.r.? Or the rithless deforestation? Or the brutal animal farming?

I am hesitant to engage with and support any more campaigns which focus on fossil fuels ONLY. ANIMAL AGRICULTURE is the main driver of the biodiversity and climate crises, and responsible for more GHG emissions than all modes of transport combined. Buying plant-based alternatives instead of cruel and harmful animal products is also immediate, easy, cheaper and requires no equipment or expensive transition. EVERYONE can do this NOW.

Elected politicians are not able to make long-term decisions, which is why it is very ineffective to try to persuade them to do just that. The problem is this: Elections are won by short-term promises. No large problem can be solved by short-term policies. Conclusion: We, as citizens, tie our representatives' hands behind their backs. What we need to do is to get rid of politicians and choose citizens democratically, by lot. We must stop the "theatre-ocracy" or even "stupidocracy" we have today.
