It looks like Russian war against Ukraine will not end in coming weeks. Russia continue using balistic missiles Iskander and Calibr to shell Ukrainian cities, civilians and civil infrastracture. As of 1 March Russia killed more than 350 Ukrainian civilians (including 16 children), above 1600 persons (including 150 children) got wounded. To protect Ukrainian civilians we urge ICRC to take a lead in protection of Ukrainian cities and villages. We call for enhanced coordination of ICRC with relevant institution of the UN and EU. We call ICRC to declare Ukrainian villages under its humanitarian protection. Ukrainian civilians should enjoy humanitarian protection. We encourage ICRC to develop and set on the ground efficient forms of humanitarian protection of Ukrainian civilians.
