Vlagatelj peticije trdi, da je bilo romunsko ministrstvo za evropska sredstva skupaj z več drugimi gospodarskimi subjekti vpleteno v primer goljufije s sredstvi EU v romunskem okrožju Mehedinti. Izjavlja tudi, da romunsko protikorupcijsko tožilstvo kljub vložitvi kazenske ovadbe o tej zadevi sploh ni ukrepalo.
