According to the Khmer Times, the province has ordered the closure of several gaming and hotel facilities since late February, including Jinbei Casino and Hotel in Sihanoukville, Jinbei Palace Hotel, Jinbei Artisan Hotel, Wincondo, Kronplaza Hotel and Haichigang International Hotel, among other local cases of COVID-19.
According to local media reports, local authorities in Sihanoukville have been banned from travelling to and from the Sihanoukville province since March 4, apparently to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19 infections there.
Cambodian authorities reported 18 new COVID-19 cases earlier on Monday, bringing the national tally to 1,325, the Khmer Times reported.
