Mariupol is a city of regional significance in south eastern Ukraine, situated on the north coast of Azov Sea at the mouth of the Kalmius river, in the Pryazovia region. Mariupol, a city of more than 400,000 before the war, has historically had a sizeable population of ethnic Greeks, who have been active in trade and shipping in the region since the Byzantine period, Armenians, Jews and others. Over 5,000 Mariupol residents have been fiercely killed by russians, including at least 10 ethnic Greeks were found dead or injured since russia started attacking Mariupol. At this moment, Mariupol became a part of a list of cities that were completely destroyed, and Mariupols’ defenders are constantly on the verge of life and death. Our heroes represent not only the character of nation that has a long history of patriotism and honor, but also they are the key element of European armed force, who fight to keep Ukraine and many other countries free from threats and terror. Artillery is continually destroying the familiar landscape, reducing trees and buildings to desolate rubble and churning up endless mud in some areas. The incredible noise of machine gun fire, is often incessant. They live under the circumstances, where banned weapons from modern warfare are flying over their heads every hour while ruining shelters and civilians buildings; they already forgot what the normal life is look like, but the worst of it is that every minute they lose their combat friends, innocent people and citizens of foreign countries. Mariupol is facing a humanitarian catastrophe, according to aid agencies, since heavy bombardment has left inhabitants with no running water or heat, and food running short. Despite the complete blockade, they continue the heroic struggle for Ukraine and for their fellow citizens, fighting for every meter of their land. While the humanitarian corridors around the besieged city coastal on land have proven ineffective, establishing one on the sea would potentially enable it to provide humanitarian relief to its civilian population, including foreigners, and members of the Ukrainian armed force. Leaving humans in danger is considered as a crime against humanity and being sovereign and independent, democratic, social, law-based states nobody allowed to leave these people in danger.

Reason

Every day of defending the city costs lives of our heroes. The goal of our defenders right now is to survive and win this war! They are confident that the operation to ‘de-blockade’ Mariupol will go down in history as a heroic act of bravery of our people. But if it doesn't happen, it will be in history as a great disgrace, so we ask you for any kind of support to de-blockade Mariupol.
