Dear Sir/Madam,
We, the undersigned, call upon Google to provide individuals with the option to blur their residences and houses in the satellite view of Google Maps.

We demand:

Introduction of a simple process through which homeowners can request the blurring of their property in the satellite view.
Implementation of the blurring within a reasonable timeframe after the request is made.
Clear communication of this option to all Google Maps users.

By signing this petition, you are standing up for the protection of privacy in the digital age. Let us work together to establish a right to digital privacy.

Begründung

Privacy is a fundamental right: In an increasingly digital world, the protection of privacy must extend to satellite imagery.
Security concerns: Detailed satellite images of private residences can be misused by criminals.
Consistency with Street View: Google already offers the option to blur houses in Street View. This possibility should be extended to satellite images.
Self-determination: Citizens should have the right to decide whether their home is publicly visible from an aerial perspective.
