Petition addressed to: Petitionsausschuss des Europäischen Parlaments

The petitioner alleges that Spain’s main telephone operators (Orange, Movistar and Vodafone) are acting as an oligopoly to raise tariffs under the pretence of an improved service – something the consumer neither demanded nor required – in breach of previously signed contracts. The only way of backing out of such arrangements for customers is to terminate their contract. He calls for such regrettable practices to be outlawed, given these operators’ market monopoly.
