The petitioner states that in 2015 the insecticide Sulfoxaflor was authorised in the EU, which acts in the same manner as neonicotinoids, several of which have in the meantime been banned because of the danger they pose for beneficial organisms and pollinating insects. He calls on the Parliament to enforce a Europe-wide ban on Sulfoxaflor and on the insecticides cyantraniliprole and flupyradifurone submitted for authorisation in Germany.
