The petitioner claims that prospection for the extraction of hydrocarbons in a pristine natural area of Epirus, with high potential for tourism and significant livestock and apiculture development, has commenced without consultation of local inhabitants. According to the petitioner this is a pending environmental disaster for Greece and the EU and calls for an immediate stop to these activities.
