In EU regulations – according to the petitioner – there are differing classifications for foods. He maintains that, under Regulation No 185/2010, foods such as Nutella, yoghurts and jams are treated as liquids whereas according to Regulation No 1169/2011 they are not liquids. The petitioner calls for Regulation No 1169/2011 to be amended so that foods covered by Regulation No 185/2010, point 4, are labelled liquids or dual labelling is introduced for them.
