The petitioner would like motorcycles to be subject to the same technical restrictions as other motor vehicles in order to reduce noise pollution. As examples, he cites the installation of an alcohol interlock device, a speed brake device, speed monitoring and enforcement by means of radar via the rear licence plate, tougher noise protection requirements and a ban on the manipulation of silencer systems.
