The petitioner calls for compulsory installation of head-on collision warning systems in trucks and cars. He considers that, when a collision is certain to occur, the brakes should be fully applied. He claims that, although motor vehicle manufacturers already have the technology for such warning systems, not all manufacturers offer these as standard equipment.
