On alleged heavy noise pollution generated by the Budapest airport in Hungary

The petitioner complains about the heavy noise pollution generated by the Budapest airport, threatening the lives, health and property of the local population. The petitioner points out that, in some areas, aircraft land at less than 1.6 km from the last house. The petitioner argues that the local authorities are in breach of the relevant EU noise legislation and that no environmental impact studies were carried out when authorising the functioning of the airport tracks so close to residential areas.
