Andrageren hævder, at hans arbejdstagerrettigheder blev overtrådt groft af hans arbejdsgiver, og at han navnlig ikke modtog lige løn for lige arbejde. Han hævder, at alle EU-borgere i Island forskelsbehandles og aldrig får samme løn som islændinge. Han anfører også, at han blev overfaldet af repræsentanter for hans arbejdsgiver, og at de islandske myndigheder ikke undersøgte hans klager ordentligt.
