Andrageren anmoder om, at der vedtages EU-regler om, at fabrikanter skal angive dækmønsterdybde, og fastsættes krav om mindst 10 mm, mens de dækmønstre, der i øjeblikket er tilgængelige online og fra forhandlere, varierer mellem 6 og 9 mm. Han hævder, at en større minimumsdybde vil være gavnlig med hensyn til miljø- og forbrugerbeskyttelse.
