Although we do love our current national anthem, we believe that today is the right time to update it. You should have seen numerous videos that went viral with people all over the world singing a song ‘Chervona Kalyna’ in support of Ukraine. This song has a historical background, a promise and hope for a better future, and it’s been treated like a musical symbol of Ukrainian independency, bravery and freedom.
Reason
Ukraine has never been more united than now, in 2022, when the entire nation is fighting against Putin’s invasion in Ukraine. This year marked the new era of Ukrainian history, the era of strength, unity, bravery and.. freedom. Our current anthem is by all means great, but the song ‘Oi u luzi chervona kalyna’ has become a symbol of belief and hope for a better future for the whole Ukraine. Let’s mark the new chapter of Ukrainian history by changing the national anthem to the one that gives us hope and inspiration to build a country no one will ever be able to conquer.
